U.K. WIDNES CHESHIRE

Since 1983, SCHMIDT is represented in Great Britain. In Dover, England, SCHMIDT’s first subsidiary named “European Bulk Transport Ltd. (E.B.T.)” was founded and the fleet of the English SCHMIDT subsidiary established. Later on, it was renamed “SCHMIDT U.K.”. In 2008, a second subsidiary was established in St. Helens near Liverpool. As this second location proved economically and geographically better, the Dover subsidiary was closed in October 2012 and relocated to St. Helens. In 2019 another relocation was executed. The subsidiary moved to Widnes Cheshire due to the fact that the former site in St. Helens has been repurposed for alternative urban concepts.

There, SCHMIDT organizes national transport, handles the provision of return freight for all vehicles of the SCHMIDT group arriving in England as well as all English import and export orders.
